Misting High Pressure Fogging Gas Turbine Inlet Cooling
High pressure fogging is a relatively new, but very effective, gas turbine inlet air cooling process. It is one of the most efficient systems for hot, humid conditions. The rapid speed of evaporation from billions of small water droplets less than 20 micron delivered by specially designed nozzles housed in spray manifolds result in the maximum amount of cooling. This high pressure flogging can boost turbine output by 20% or more. CAT PUMPS stainless steel pumps are used in this application because they are designed to handle the 24/7 continuous-duty and the DI water.
