How do you adjust the oilers?
Most pumps are equipped with lubrication holes at the top front of the crankcase or top of the inlet manifold. These holes are for lubricating the seals [wicks when used]. If a rigid maintenance schedule is maintained, it is not necessary to add this additional lubrication to your pump. The lubricant will vary with the application and concern for contaminating the pumped liquid. Optional dust plugs are available to prevent any contamination from entering the pump. In certain applications such as with high temperature liquids, low lubricity liquids or excessive airborne particles, additional lubrication is recommended. The 25 FR, 35 FR and 60 FR pumps have special gravity feed oilers that can be threaded into the hole on the top of the crankcase or manifold . These are easily adjusted to the desired amount of lubrication. Set the lever in a vertical position to start the feed, horizontal to stop or dial it to adjust the flow.

What are flushed manifolds?
Our 316L Block-style pump models are available in a K flushed version and select stainless steel cast manifold models are available in a C flushed version. Both flushed version pump styles offer unique opportunities for flushing and cooling of the pump seals and controlling of effluent emissions, while greatly enhancing seal life. Special ports in the Inlet Manifold allow a small amount of external secondary liquid to lubricate and cool the Lo-Pressure Seals, providing protection against high temperature, contaminating liquids and the escape of hazardous liquids, especially those that may vaporize. The secondary liquid should be selected to be compatible with the primary pumped liquid and is circulated at a very low flow rate [5 GPH] and nominal pressure [max 40 PSI]. These flushed version pumps greatly enhance seal when pumping low-lubricity liquids such as DI water and high temperature.
