| Cat PumpsŪ are liquid pumps and require liquid for proper lubrication while pumping. Seals and V-Packings are affected by a lack of liquid for lubrication and will overheat and quickly deteriorate. Select models use a special Hi-Temp seals that permits a short duration run-dry operation, but the pumps are not intended for extended time periods without liquid. The Hi-Temp seals were specifically designed for extended seal life while pumping water up to 210 F. Select Models including 270, 3CP, 310S, 5CP, 45, 55 are available with these special seals.
