How do you winterize a Cat Pump®?
Whenever storing a pump for extended periods or between use in cold climates, drain all pumped liquids from the pump and flush the liquid-end with an RV antifreeze solution [50-100% mix] to prevent freezing and damage to the manifold or pump. Do not pump with frozen liquid in the pump. Change crankcase oil after prolonged storing to protect drive-end components. Turn pump over by hand. If extreme resistance, Seals and O-rings may need to be changed before operation.
