| Do you have a safety brochure? |
We do not publish a safety brochure, however, proper selection, installation and maintenance will help provide optimum safety in most pump systems. The following basic safety precautions should be implemented in all high-pressure liquid systems to assure optimum safety.
Installation
- Always install a primary pressure regulating valve and a secondary
Pressure relief valve in all high-pressure systems
- Use properly rated fittings for all connections. Secure all fittings with Teflon tape. Check for proper tightening or torque requirement
- Use reinforced flexible hose with proper ratings for discharge and by-pass lines
- Check your available power before you select your motor and have the unit installed by a qualified electrician
- Install electrical components with proper GFCI protection in wet installations
- Use the proper device and procedure to move or lift your high-pressure system
- Install your system on a rigid, level base with shock mounts
Operation
- Be sure to turn on your water supply before starting your high pressure system
- Be sure your pump crankcase is filled to the proper level with oil
- Be sure your belts are properly tightened and guard is installed
- Never aim high pressure liquid directly at any part of your body or
other nearby individuals
- Follow the proper procedure from the manufacturer for setting valves
- Never operate a system with cracked hoses
- Do not exceed the pressure or temperature limits of your components
- Never leave a high-pressure unit running when not attending the unit
- Protect your liquid system from extreme temperatures and dusty conditions
Maintenance
- Follow proper procedure for supporting and removing head from pump
- Follow proper lubrication and order of installation of components when servicing seals and valves
- Follow recommended torque requirements and procedures when reassembling pump
