Carpet and other surface cleaning is often done with a truck-mounted or portable extractor system.  These systems deliver pressurized water and/or cleaning solutions to carpets, and other surfaces, while extracting (vacuuming up) dirty water.  The pressurized water and vacuum system is typically applied with a wand and has a shut-off valve to control when water is applied.   Water or cleaning solutions are often heated as high as 140 degrees F. 

Truck-Mounted Carpet Extractors
Carpet extractor systems run for hours on end cleaning carpet, upholstery, drapes, rugs, tile and more.  Cat Pumps field-proven reliability has made us the leading supplier for truck-mounted carpet cleaning systems.  Gas driven systems typically run between 3-4 gpm at 1000 psi whereas electric systems run at 1.5 gpm at 500 psi.

Portable Carpet Extractors
Similar to truck-mounted systems, portable systems are used to clean a variety of surfaces.  Systems typically are driven with an AC or DC electric motor and operate from 0.5-2.0 gpm and from 100-800 psi.  Cat Pumps specifically developed a new line of pumps for these carpet extractors to become the most reliable and longest lasting pumps on the market.  The newest series of Cat Pumps also remove the need for oil or grease which may contaminate a carpet or surface.  This is accomplished by using the fluid pumped as the lubricating agent.  Finally, the compact footprint of this new family of pumps allows our customers to replace pumps in their existing systems.
