Cat Pumps is excited to announce the launch of new models in the mobile hydro excavating and sewer jetting markets. Addressing the space constraints often faced by mobile equipment OEMs, these pumps feature a smaller footprint, achieved through the unique use of a direct-mount flange and hollow spline shaft. This design allows the pumps to pair seamlessly with compact SAE hydraulic motors, maintaining the high quality and reliability Cat Pumps is known for while offering a more mobile-friendly size.
Cat Pumps drive-ends have a reputation for being the longest-lasting, most durable pump drive-ends on the market. After decades of use, or through oil contamination of the drive-end, oil can sometimes leak past the seals. Typically, the proper method of replacing crankcase oil seals is complicated and involves removing the two bearing covers, the crankshaft and bearings, and the plunger rod and connecting rod assemblies before finally removing the oil seals. This method is time-consuming but prevents scoring of the plunger rods when using a sharp pick to remove the oil seals.

With a bell housing, the Model 1731 easily attaches to a “C” face motor (1750 rpm), allowing for a space-saving footprint. Bell housings are available for NEMA or IEC motor applications. And being direct-driven, it’s simple to install and maintain since there are no belts, pulleys or baseplates.
